Iran 2009: history and hospitality

Landscape and scenery

This gallery contains some pictures of architechtural sites of which Iran is so rich. These sites span more than 2500 years, from elamite Choga Zanbil to a modern mosque in a kurdish village.

The traditional way of life in bazaars and villages present a unique opportunity for a visitor to observe phenomena long gone in the western world. Iran is of course also a modern country, but my photography in this gallery focus mainly on "traditional life".

Evoked by human constructions of undefined age, my photographs in this gallery hopefully reflects some of the timelessness I felt at the time.
